Grungy Monday doesn't look so grungy!

I found some time to play this week, and am joining in at Linda's StudioL3 blog for gungy monday. My piece doesn't look grungy at all, but the challenge is to use Tim Holtz's grungeboard or paper. I used grungepaper with Tim's butterflies movers and shapers dies. I inked the butterfly with Broken China DI, (my fav color!), and put some frosted lace stickles over it for some bling. This is a note holder that I made with supplies from Pat Catan's craft store. The base is a piece of wood that I painted with Jenni Bowlin chewing gum paint dabber. I stamped words on it with Antique Linen DI. I cut strips of paper and adhered them to the clothespins. I then glued them to the base with Alene's tacky glue. The other embellishments are from my stash. You can lay this flat on a table, or apply a hanger or magnet and hang it up. I may do this at next month's workshop! Thanks for looking in!

Linky Party Monday!

Hello, and a happy new week to everyone! Every Monday the Ippity blog has a linky party that you can upload your ippity creations to. I joined in this week, and made a card with the new set Shine, Shine, Shine. Click here to see more ippity linky creations ! I am also linking to their challenge for paper piecing also. You can check that out here. I paper pieced the two lamp pieces, after stamping on some lily bee paper. The lamp stand is another stamp that I just used the bottom of, and I embossed that with Vintage Photo distress powder. A few spellbinders dies, and some more lily bee papers, and done! Get out those ippity stamps, and join in!

Happy Friday!

Hello blogger friends! I must say I haven't got to post as much on my blog lately that I'd like too. My new job has me gone most of the day, and the summer has me outside alot when I am home. So in the early morning I read everyone's blogs, and do a little crafting. I made this card yesterday, and posting today to 2 blogs. First up is the All Things Unity Challenge blog here. You are to use twine on your project. I made this background awhile ago, and was experimenting with different inks to make it stamp correctly. It has a mostly solid surface, so pigment ink worked best. It is Colorbox chalk ink. And decided to use it on this card. I love the teal color, and the card base is Coordinations paper that I sanded the edges to show the white core. I used white pigment ink on this Ippity stamp, and love the soft look. The sentiment is from the How You Doin Ippity set that I stamped to match the paper color. And added some Pink Paislee twine. I am also linking this to the Unity blog for Friends with Flair Friday here. They have a cute Margarita stamp set today on sale for only $5.00 if you want to check that out! Thanks for looking in today!

The Simple Things

Today's card is made with the Ippity stamp set The Simple Things. I stamped the image with versamark, then used my chalks on top if it. I haven't done this technique for awhile, and almost forgot how much the chalks show the stamp image! The patterned paper is by Lily Bee Designs, and I used my Martha Stewart corner punch to add some dimension. I am linking this to the Ippity blog here. Go check out other Ippity stamps creations! Thanks for popping in! And the stamp set I used!

New Ippity Releases!

It's time for 2 new Ippity sets just released! This card I used the new Shine, Shine, Shine set. The lamps are too cute, and can be used in so many ways. You can add sentiments such as, You Light Up My Life, Just a Shade Late, and of course the sentiments that come wih this set! I colored my lamp in with wild honey DI, and a copper pen for the base. Here are the 2 new sets! If you'd like to order these, please see my ippity blog!

Unity Friends With Flair Friday

Every Friday the Unity blogs hosts a friends with flair post. You upload your Unity stamp creations, and they give a prize away to the winner, and a commenter. So, if you'd like to enter yourself, the link is here! I used the butterfly stamp from the little things set, and embossed with clear EP. I then used distress inks in dusty concord, weathered wood, and wild honey over the front of the card. The sentiment is from a Unity itty bitty that I stamped onto a punched oval. Thanks for looking in, and get your Unity project uploaded!!
