Join the Fun at Unity!

Hello and Happy Friday to you! Today I am sharing a card I made with a new Itty Bitty stamp called snowpeep Kurt, from Unity Stamp Company. Isn't he the cutest? Except my Kurt has changed into a girl! lol Anyway, the artist behind this image is Tracey Malnofski, which I have the pleasure of being on her Design Team for The Stamping Boutique!(we have a new challenge starting this Sunday!) I have been an admirer of her artwork for some time, and love that Unity turns them into rubber stamps! I colored this one in with my Pro Markers after heat embossing it in black. Also adding dimension with a Snow Marker and heat tool for some fluffy snow for my snowpeep to sit on! I am sending this one over to the Unity blog for their Friends With Flair Day! Patterned paper from My Mind's Eye, Cardstock from Stampin' Up!, and die cut from Spellbinders. Thank you so much for stopping by, and have a fun long weekend!

Punch Art Wheelbarrow

I have been wanting a wheelbarrow die from Sizzix, but I have put myself on restriction from shopping!! lol So I set out today to come up with my own version of this cute die cut, but using punches. I made the base with a simple box design, and the rest is punched pieces, except for the sides.
I think it came out really cute! I put some silk flowers in it, but would also be fun for candy, or even place markers for Thanksgiving!
Here you can see the box base. I used punches from Stampin' Up! which were: 1 inch circle, 1/2 inch circle, word window, 1 inch square, 3/4 inch square. The patterned paper for the sides is from My Mind's Eye. I may put a tutorial together showing how I assembled it later if anyone is interested! Thanks for having a look today!!

Country Birds

Hello, and Happy Friday to you! Today's card I have made for the JustRite Stampers Friday Challenge, which is Things with Wings. I used the Spellbinders Nested Bird dies, and embossed the large bird with the Spellbinders Butterfly Impressabilities. I then lightly inked over it with my foam blender tool. For the small bird, I used the Impressabilities as a stencil, and a white marker. The pretty patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye, and I did some selective die cutting with the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares die under the bird's nest. I then used a smaller square for the sentiment which is from the JustRite A Day in the Country stamp set. The nest was made with thin strips of cardstock that I crunched up and glued in place.
Here is a close up of the bird's nest. Thank you so much for stopping in for a look!

My Son and I and flowers

Hello all. My Son and I took some pictures this evening, and thought I would share them with you. This one is of me and our dog Chief. A big one I know! He is St. Bernard and German Shepard. Very friendly. Very large! We just love him!
This is my son's self portrait. He loves taking pictures.
And I had to take a pic of my moonflowers tonight. There are 19 blooms on it!! For those not familiar with these plants, the blooms only last one day, and they open up in the evening and last till the next day. Hence the name 'moon' flower. I have never had this many flowers open up at once. I shared another post of this plant here when it was a mere 5 feet long. In a little less than a month it is now 11 feet long!!
This pic is just to show the size of the flower.
And one more pic of another grouping of moonflowers by the house. 4 flowers on this one, so 23 pretty flowers to enjoy tonight and tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!
