Four Feathers Stamp Set in Brights

Here is the other card I made that matches the one I shared on Monday. Bermuda Bay and Perfect Plum look so pretty together, even using the feather stamps. I added a few candy dots, and a pearl that I colored with the Blendabilities Alcohol Markers.

Stampin' Up! just announced that they are putting a hold on ordering the Blendabilities markers. I'm not sure what the manufacturing issue is, but I haven't had any problems with my markers yet. I don't use mine much for coloring images though, just for coloring embellishments! I'm sure they will keep us posted on the situation.

For those of you who are taking advantage of the Sale-a-Bration, there have been some new stamp sets, vellum, and embellishment pack that has been added to the offering!! Visit the Stampin' Up! site or blog to see them all!

Thank you for visiting today, and remember, I love comments!! :)

You Brighten My Day Stamp Set Showcase

I shared a video on my YouTube channel today, showcasing the Sale-A-Bration stamp set called You Brighten My Day. This is just one of the free stamp sets to choose from during this promotion.

It's a fun stamp set, and it coordinates with 5 of our paper punches, that's my favorite part! ;)

Thanks for watching!!

Easter Lilly's Punch Art

Another reminder that Spring is on the way! These cute punch art Lilly's! Here in the states, we have a few flowers that are all similar to each other, like these. Another is the Peace Lilly, and I even have a perenial that comes up every year that looks like this, then turns into a pod of berries. But, they all bloom in the Spring!!

Anyway, this lilly uses the retired Blossom Builder punch for the petals, and the stamen is cut from a scalloped circle punch. I hand cut the stems and added a paper bow from the Bow Builder Punch. I did flatten it down a bit to make it easier to mail.

The background is stamped in pink using the Dictionary BG stamp, and added the greeting from, you guessed it, the new Crazy About You set. The little candy dots on the side finish it.

I do believe my son will have a full day of school today!!!! It's been called off the last 4 days because of the bitter cold temperatures. He actually wants to go back to school, and that's a good thing!! :)

Thanks for having a look today!!

Punched Daffodil's

Ooooo, I cannot wait for my daffodil's to start blooming!! But, I think I'll have to wait another month or so!! I first saw these punched flowers last year, and am just now starting to make them!

The larger part of the flowers use the Petite petals punch, which I've had for awhile now. But the centers are from the Boho Blossoms punch, which I have now!! I took my Stampin' Write marker to make little dots on the inside for stamens. The flower pot is also a label punch that I trimmed down, and added a small butterfly punch.

I've used the Hardwood stamped in brown this time, and used the triangle punch at the top to create pickets. I love that!! The sentiment is again from the Crazy About You set.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Bermuda Bay and Perfect Plum CASE

I have CASE'd another card from fellow Demonstrator Sam Donald. I loved the color combo and use of the Gorgeous Grunge set, so I had to re-create it!

The layout is exactly the same, but my sentiment comes from the Crazy For You set, and I don't have any matching stamps for the butterfly punches, so I used other stamp images for them.

It's such a happy and bright card, that I know I would be pleased to get!! These butterfly punches are also a new addition to my collection. I have another card I will share this week using them!

Sale-A-Bration is still going on!! For every $50.00 spent you get to choose one free item from the special catalog!! I have been getting the Blendabilities alcohol markers!! I got 4 FREE sets of them so far!! Plus the super joining offer as well!! Visit my link at my sidebar for all the specials going on!

Thanks for having a look, and for visiting!!

Scalloped Circles Into Starbursts

I couldn't wait to try this out when I finally got my Scalloped Circle punches the other day! I love it when people share their punch art secrets, and this one I saw on Pinterest. Here is the original photo that I first saw:
Create a starburst or sunburst design using a Scallop Circle Punch! #stampinup www.juliedavison.com
I didn't use scrap paper, I always make a 'paper handle' to slide my pieces back into the punch, but it's the same concept.

I turned my starbursts into a colorful flower, using dimensionals on each one. The very center punch out is from the Boho Blossoms punch. I think it added a nice center, and I also added a Melon Mambo candy dot to it.

The stem is free hand cut, and the leaves are from the wing of the Bird Builder punch. The sentiment is from the amazing new stamp set called Crazy About You. There are a bunch of words that you can put together to make your own custom greeting. It is available in the Spring Occasions Catalog.

I really do love my paper punches, they are one supply that I just can't do without!! LOL I only need 10 more Stampin' Up! punches to complete my collection!!!

Tag Topper Punch Gift Bag

Today I have this cute gift bag to share! It's very simple to put together, but the fun part is using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch on the top. Your paper is folded, then put into the punch. It's the perfect way to dress up the top!

I have tried to find the tutorial again for this box, but have been unsuccessful! Plus it's early morning! :) Do a search on YouTube for a tag topper punch bag, and you should find it! My directions have been written down, and it was last year that I did that!

Anyway, the bag is made from the Lullaby Designer paper, tied off with seam binding ribbon. The sentiment is from a retired hostess set, but it fits perfectly into the circle punch. One of my new additions to my punches is the scalloped circles. I now have all of them! :) I added a gold one behind the sentiment.

This is a good size gift box, perfect for so many things!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Gift Pouch

Today I have a gift pouch that is modeled after Stampin' Up!'s treat bag die. I like the shape and size of it, so I made one of my own.

I used some retied designer paper, (which I love!). I used one of the flower stamps from the Flower Shop set, and punched it out. The sentiment is from a set that is available from the Clearance Rack. Some great bargains in there!!

I tied on some ribbon and sequin trim, and added a couple small banner punch outs. This is a fairly thin treat pouch, perfect for a gift card, but also for a thin candy bar!! Peppermint Patties are my favorite! :)

I am patiently awaiting an order from Stampin' Up! that should be here today. I ordered a lot of punches that I didn't have, so I may be having some punch art projects to share soon!! :)

Thank you for visiting, and have a wonderful day!! Bundle up if you are on the East side of the U.S. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

Happy Valentine's!!

Hi there! Well, tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and I have a few more projects to share! Of all the cards that I made, I actually only mailed out one, to my Mom! A few more will be handed to like this first card. It's going to my husband. This is the card that I punched out the hearts after stamping the Hardwood background stamp in Real Red. Just a plain CAS card that I added a little washi tape and twine to. Nothing fancy for the guys right?! :)

This one is all dolled up!! A bit more fussy than usual for me, but still pretty and girly! I've used current and retired items on this one, but it all works together.

And the last Valentine to share is this crocheted heart key chain I made, and a sweet little gift bag that fellow demonstrator Sam Donald shared. I actually made two of these, one has already been given to a Girl at work. This one will be going to work tomorrow. I love the adorable paper bow that is made from a brand new punch that is available in the new Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog. So cute!!

Here's wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day filled with love and friendship!! Thank you for visiting today!!

Valentine Window Card

Hello! Today I have a window card to share. I used the Hearts a Flutter Framelits to die cut the window from the front panel. I embossed the panel then decorated it with various punches.

I added a piece of designer paper to the card base, then popped the panel up with dimensionals.. I will add the sentiment to the inside.

I think this is another pretty Valentine, or could be sent any time of the year.

Thanks for having a look!

Sheltering Tree for Fall

Hi there! Today I am sharing a card with a Fall theme using the new Sheltering Tree stamp set from the Occasions catalog. I inked the tree top(which is a separate stamp) in three different colors, but it just wasn't 'full' enough for me. So I took the smaller leaves stamp and filled in the tree more, then stamped a pile of leaves along with the cute rake at the base of the tree.

The sentiment is from the same set, and after stamping it, it looked like it was floating up there, so I used the rake handle to stamp on each side of it. I think it anchors the sentiment now.

I'm still loving this seasonal stamp set!! I haven't even made a Summer card with it yet!! But that's on my list!! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!!

Making an Egg Die Cut with Oval Framelits

Hi there! Today I have a video tutorial sharing how I made an egg shaped die cut using Stampin' Up!'s Oval framelits! I like to put eggs on my Easter cards, but SU! doesn't sell any dies or punches in that shape, so I set out to create my own. I hope you enjoy the video!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hardwood Background Stamp

Hi there! I just got the pretty Hardwood background stamp the other day, and had to ink it up. I've seen many projects done where they used inks other than brown, and loved the look. So I inked mine with Wisteria Wonder, and made a pretty Spring card with it.

I paired the Flower Shop stamp set and matching punch to decorate the 'fence', and added punched leaves from the Bird Builder punch for a vine look. I wanted a few more flowers, so I added the Melon Mambo punched flowers using the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

The sentiment is from the new Sheltering Tree set, that I created a banner for, and the card base is from So Saffron card stock. I also made a Valentine with this stamp that I'll share in a few days!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Easy Shaker Card Tutorial Using Stampin' Up!'s Shaker Frames

Shaker cards are making there comeback, and Stampin' Up! has the perfect product to make them! The shaker frames are not a new item, I've had mine for awhile now, but in this photo tutorial, you'll see that they work on any shape!

The first step is to die cut your pieces. I've used the Deco Labels framelits here, and die cut one piece of Lullaby dsp, then layered it on my card front and die cut again creating the hole in the card. I also die cut two white frames with the same die and one size larger.

Flip the dsp over and adhere a piece of window sheet over the opening. You can see how many foam adhesive shaker frames you get in a package! I took the second largest frame and cut it in half. I adhered it to the window sheet following along it's shape. Repeat again for the sides of the die cut opening, making sure the ends are touching.

Put the sequins inside the well. Peel off the backing of the foam frames and adhere another window sheet to it. Make sure it is attached well. Add foam dimensionals around the outside edges.

I die cut another label in white and stamped my greeting. To get it centered, I turned it right side down and centered it on the window die cut side, then folded the back of the card over to adhere it. Adhere one of the frames to the inside window.

Adhere the other white frame to the front, and the dsp panel to the card front. This type of shaker card allows you to see the inside of the card. Stampin' Up!'s shaker frames are all circle shaped, but you can easily cut them apart to create any shape!

Thanks for checking out my tutorial, and I hope you give this a try!!
