Pumpkins Tag

Unity Stamp Co. has a tag theme challenge this week on their Facebook page, and this is my entry. I cut a piece of scrap heavyweight textured paper for my tag base. I die cut another pattern piece and glued it to the top. I used my Stampin Up scallop tag punch for the top.

The pumpkins stamp is from the September kit of the month, and are colored with alcohol markers, then fussy cut out and glued to the tag. The sentiment is from a Donna Downey kit called You Are Important.

I haven't been in my crafting room quite as much lately. I've been working more hours, and starting Monday, I will become full time. I've gotten off easy the last 5 years only working part time, but the opportunity came up for full time and benefits, so I'm back at it again! :)

Thank you to all who visit and leave comments!

Go Nuts for Fall

Made a fun Fall card using this fun squirrel from the Your Next Stamp set called Quirky Animals Set One. I colored him with Distress inks and a blender pen. I followed the sketch for the YNS challenge 48.

ynssketch48

I die cut the two circle panels and the small tag. The acorns and sentiment are in the same stamp set, and I also added a couple sequins for a little more embellishment.

Thanks for having a look!

Canvas

Sharing this 8x10 canvas I finished the other day. I base coated this with a few layers of acrylic in a mixed tan color. The large flower was stamped, then painted with acrylics, then I stamped on top of it again. I used Distress inks around the flower in yellow and blue, then did some more stamping around the edges. I inked the butterfly with multiple colors of Distress inks, and the two sentiments are inked with Stazon.

I started this canvas a long time ago, got discouraged with it, and put it away. There is a few pieces that I had glued down then, and I left them there, I thought it might tear. They are painted and stamped over now, but you can still see them.

The stamps are all from Unity. The flower and sentiment is from a Donna Downey set, and the others are from a SMAK kit. I'm happy with how this looks, I'm still a beginner with mixed media and canvas art.

Halloween Night

I only have a couple of Halloween stamp sets, and I recently got this stamp set from Joy Clair called Trick or Treat. I like the large pumpkins, and can also be used for general Fall themed cards and scrapbook pages. Joy Clair has a monthly challenge, and this month they offer this mood board, and thought this would be a perfect set to use.

September 2016

I water colored the background and pumpkins with distress inks. All the pumpkins were then fussy cut out. I used a fence and vine die to add to my scene, and a build a flower punch for some red leaves. The flying bats at the top also come in this stamp set, and I used some clear Wink of Stella on them.

Anyone can join the challenges, you aren't required to use their sets, but I'm sure they would love to see them :) Thank you for having a look!

Thankful

I've been following a UK Stampin Up demonstator, Sam, for a couple of years now. And recently she has offered color challenges, with the winner getting the card she made each week. I finally got to join in, and this week's colors are Tip Top Taupe, Flirty Flamingo, and Mint Macaron.

This also gets me to use my much neglected Stampin Up stamps, and I used 3 sets on this card. The large swirly images are from the Flowering Flourishes set, the small pink flower is from the Butterfly Basics set, and the sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree set.

These colors look really well together, and I love how this card turned out. All supplies are from Stampin Up.

Did some loose water coloring on this Unity kit of the month image. I made it for a color challenge, and they matched Stampin Up colors perfectly. Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow. The sentiment is from another Unity kit called So this is Love.

Been trying to clear out our house of all unwanted furniture. We have way too much!! Multiples even of some things, and having a rental property we have acquired extra appliances as well. Think I will have a sale here in the next couple of weeks, want these things gone by Winter.

Still making time to do crafting as well. And I realized that I've been spending way too much on stuff this year!! I just don't have time to use it all. Will have to stop myself next time I see a 'sale'. LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing what I've made.

Jessica

Hi there! This image is called Jessica With Her Puppy from Your Next Stamp. I'm playing along with their bi-weekly challenge using the color inspiration board:

YNScolor-47

I colored her up with my Spectrum markers and layered her on top of some designer paper and the stamped paw print panel. I stamped and punched the sentiment, which comes from another YNS set called Tobi's Bear Hugs.

A perfect card for any occasion. Thanks for visiting today!

Scarecrow

I made another card for Unity's Fall Facebook challenge. I used an Itty Bitty stamp called Scarecrow Thankful For You, drawn by artist Tracey Malnofski. Isn't he the cutest?!!

He's colored with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut out using a set from Avery Elle. The background paper is a retired pack from Stampin Up called Orchard Harvest, and I added some enamel dots from C.C. Designs.

I decided to add some props to my photo this time around. I'm not much of a photographer, but I like the look that others take with their cards, so I thought I'd give it a try. :)

Thank you so much for visiting!

Fall Water Stamping

Sharing what I made for Unity's Show and Tell Facebook group, which is Fall themed.

I used the floral image from the April SMAK kit. I've used this image many times, but the look is different each time I use it. Love that about a stamp!

I inked it with Dusty Concord, Ripe Persimmon and Crushed Olive Distress Inks, spritzed with water, then stamped onto Canson 140lb water color paper. I also used Ground Espresso and a wet paintbrush to flick on some splatters.

The sentiment is inked with Chocolate Chip from Stampin Up, and is from the A Moment in Time kit from Unity. I distressed the edges of the panel and sponged Old Paper ink around it. The card base color is Crushed Curry from SU.
